Train Shows​

The Delaware Seaside Railroad Club sponsors two Train and Toy Shows each year. The shows are held at the Hope Center, located at 97 Central Avenue, Ocean View, Delaware 19970.The shows are open to the public and admission tickets can be purchased at the door on the date of the show. In addition to a large dealer sales floor, operating layouts, a full concession stand, and door prizes are featured. The popular Spring Fling and Indian Summer Toy & Train Shows returned in 2022 after being suspended the previous two years due to the pandemic. These shows bring together more than twenty model train and toy dealers from all over Delmarva. New and vintage trains in all gauges along with accessories, scenery, power and track will be exhibited for sale. The Delaware Seaside Railroad Club sponsors these annual shows and sets up operating train displays which run throughout the show for visitor entertainment. A full snack bar is available. Admission is $6.00 and Children 10 and under are free. 

The dates for the 2024 shows are May 4th for the Spring Fling and September 28th for the Indian Summer Show. These Saturday shows run from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. and will be held at the Hope Center in Ocean View, Delaware.

Our very popular Train-Load Yard Sales which were initiated during the pandemic as alternatives to large indoor shows have become permanent events of the Delaware Seaside Railroad Club. These are outdoor events held in the large parking lot of our new Clubhouse located at 36668 Dupont Highway, Selbyville, DE. Our 2024 Train-Load Yard Sales are scheduled for Saturday, May 25th and Saturday, August 31st. The Yard Sales begin at 8:00 am and close at 1:00 pm. 

For these self-service type events, vendors provide their own table, chairs, canopy and/or umbrella. There is no admission fee and no cost for vendors. However, vendors interested in reserving exhibit space should contact John at 302-945-1627 or e-Mail: to register.

If the weather does not cooperate, a rain date will be determined.

The Delaware Seaside Railroad Club operated its S-Gauge Modular travelling layout on Saturday, June 10th at the Kids Day at the Caboose event sponsored by the Greater Harrington Historical Society. There was fun and games for the kids, refreshments, and tours of the restored Pennsylvania Railroad Caboose and Control Tower. Our S-Gauge layout is a museum of Sussex County in miniature with each diorama depicting an historical business that led to this region's growth and development. The Shore Boyz RR Club was  be there with their exciting trailer mounted model train display. 
Again, for the 2023 Holiday Season, The Ocean City Beach Patrol presents a Model Train Display at the Winterfest in Ocean City, Maryland. The exhibit is located in the Rotunda of the Roland Powell Convention Center. The display is open to the public Wednesdays thru Sundays from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. starting on November 16th and continuing to December 31st. Admission is free for Kids of All Ages and donations benefit the Ocean City Beach Patrol. The Delaware Seaside Railroad Club partners with the OC Beach Patrol to help operate the layouts.
