Delaware SeaSide Railroad Club

Delaware Seaside Railroad Club operates its Modular Travelling O-Gauge Display in support of the Seaford Volunteer Fire Department's Annual Toy and Train Show each February. The display with its new animated dioramas featuring models of historic amusement parks and carnivals of the region served as the centerpiece of this annual show which is a key fundraising event for the Seaford VFD. Club Member Paul Moore served as Chief Engineer of the layout for the event and Dave Lawrence, Bill Mixon and Bill Ziegler also participated in the show as vendors.

Thomas the Tank Engine Library Tour
In support of the Summer Reading Programs of the community libraries in the Delaware Beach area, the Delaware Seaside Railroad Club has prepared a special mobile traveling layout featuring Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends from the Shining Time Station Fame. This two-level layout features the Thomas, Annie and Claribel Passenger Train on the upper level and James the Red Engine puling a string of freight cars on the lower level. This modern digitally controlled layout is operated by hand-held remote controls that the kids can operate. This Summer, the South Coastal Library in Bethany Beach hosted the Thomas layout in May, followed by the Millsboro Public Library in June and the Selbyville Public Library will host it in July. Enjoy reading about Thomas and operating the model train layout this summer, Kids!
